Get Into Golf Programme
If you're new to the game or thinking about playing, getting started can seem a little daunting - but it doesn't have to be. Here at Longniddry Golf Club we offer several simple steps that can take you through from your first few lessons to playing 9 or 18 holes and then joining a golf club.
Here's how you can start out as a beginner and end up as a golfer...
Sign up for one of our beginner courses, learn the basics from grip, posture, swing and how to use the different clubs.
Get the bug - and the bag!
You'll start thinking about having you own clubs. To begin with, a 3 or 5 wood and any combination of irons along with a putter is all you'll need, along with a pair of comfortable golf shoes, balls and tees.
Here at Longniddry Professional's shop we can advise you with all golf equipment required to get you started.
We will continue to offer follow-on courses that can help build on the skills you have already learned in the beginner sessions. It can also help you understand how to play the game on a golf course, and the rules and etiquette.
